As we enter the climate crisis, Mother's Manifesto calls for those in power to meet their legal responsibility by providing the required resources and environmental protection that ensure the human right to adequate food. We demand accountability for public and private bodies to safeguard every human - with a focus on women and children as the disproportionate victims of current and ongoing food poverty.

MAKE SURE ALL CHILDREN IN THE UK HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT
Provide nutritious free school meals for all state schools.
Introduce a basic rate of Universal Credit that guarantees life’s essentials.
Implement a Living Wage as minimum for workers.
KEEP OUR PROMISES ON AID AND CLIMATE
Reverse cuts to the aid budget.
Cancel debt owed by the world’s financially poorest nations in order to finance climate adaptation: make reparations as one of the countries currently and historically most responsible for climate breakdown.
Take rapid and ambitious action on the climate and ecological crisis, limiting catastrophic risk and the collapse of our food systems. This must include no new fossil fuel exploration or developments.
TAX OIL AND GAS COMPANIES' PROFITS
Fund increased aid and investment in a green energy transition via a 90%, loophole-free windfall tax on oil and gas companies’ record profits.
